About:
TG-170 is located in NYC's Lower East Side. It has been an established boutique since 1992 in a pre- gentrified neighborhood. The only places that existed downtown on that street was famous bar Max Fish and TG-170. It is hard to believe considering how much the neighborhood has and continues to change. Terri Gillis, the owner of TG-170 was a pioneer. Her idea then and still today is to find smaller designers to fill her store. Clothing that does not necessarily follow the latest trends, but are kind of avant garde, soulful and beautiful in themselves.
The store appeals to women of many ages. The interior of the store is quite unique as well. Filled with vintage light fixtures and furniture. The dressing rooms are even adorned with paintings from local artists. TG-170 is not only a fun place to shop, but a supporter of the arts and embracer of what the neighborhood has come to be today.
