About:
Noisette, a women's fashion boutique located in Williamsburg, features top European brands exclusive to Noisette. The brainchild of Parisian fashion maven Stéphanie Deleau, Noisette’s warm backdrop gives a friendly and intimate vibe to the store, making shopping there a positively unique experience. Every piece of clothing in Noisette radiates Deleau’s own exuberant joie de vivre. Noisette’s apparel reflects a confident blend of uptown sophistication and bohemian femininity, like Sex and the City without too much of the bling. “I used to bring European brands to the US as a sales rep”, says Deleau. “But it was not as much fun as seeing the clothes on a woman and helping her put together her own look.” The Noisette style is mature, but still truly au courant enough for any Williamsburg hipster. There is no getting bored at Noisette: new pieces will be flown in every month. The to-die-for brands include Bash, Sandro, Les Petites, Aoyama Itchome, Aridza Bross and Maje, among others—many of which are sold in Paris at Le Bon Marché and Galeries Lafayette. The Noisette boutique itself is modern and cheerful, bathed in warm earthy tones to make the customer feel right at home. The cutting edge fixtures are a deep, rich wood, with merchandise laid out for easy access and experimentation. Noisette offers genuinely superior customer service and a hospitable welcome with coffee, tea. The store’s name means “hazelnut” in English—a reference to Deleau’s justifiable passion for Nutella—which she will keep on hand for any others who share her addiction. Stéphanie Deleau came to the US 10 years ago as a nanny and has since become a pillar of New York’s French fashion community. Before opening Noisette, she spent 6 years as a sales representative for European shoe designers (Michel Perry, Coclico, Jean-Michel Cazabat and Mosquitos) and bags (Jack Gomme, Loop, Parcel and Transversion) in the US market.
