EMILIO PUCCI :    Luxury Brand Apparel & Accessories

  About:

Born in 1914 to one of Florence’s oldest noble families, Emilio Pucci became a fashion phenomenon in the 1950’s. It all began when he created a streamlined ski outfit, photographed for Harper’s Bazaar and his trailblazing vision continues to reverberate today.
Emilio Pucci, in 1967, naturally embodied the post war, jet set glamour which captivated a new group of modern, active women.
The Pucci family palace, in the heart of Florence became the ideal location for his young couture fashion house, where he set up his ateliers in the rooms on the ground floor of the palace,  and restored the grand gallery, baroque ballroom and adjoining rooms to show his collections and received fascinated press and clients.

Nowadays, the palace still holds the offices for the Emilio Pucci Headquarters.

In the 1990’s, Emilio’s daughter, Laudomia Pucci, began to take over her father’s business. In April 2000, an alliance was formed between the Pucci family and LVMH, the French luxury group, where 67% of the capital was acquired. Since then Laudomia Pucci is Image Director. In October 2006 Matthew Williamson, English famed designer, was appointed Creative Director, taking over the role from Christian Lacroix who had been designing the brand’s collection for 3 years.

2007 was a landmark year for Emilio Pucci as the storied Florentine fashion brand celebrated its 60th anniversary.
What started as a spontaneous fashion-fix on the slopes of Zermatt - Emilio Pucci effortlessly designing a chic ski outfit for a female friend - later exploded into a global fashion phenomenon that continues to resonate to this day.
