Carmen Steffens' Los Angeles-based flagship collection launch exceeds high expectations of the label's followers
LOS ANGELES, Feb. 25 /
Carmen Steffens launched its 2010 Spring/Summer collection Tuesday, February 23rd at the United States flagship store at Westfield Fashion Square in Sherman Oaks, CA. The collection, consisting of over 1200 style and color combinations, arrived with great anticipation. A VIP reception was held to celebrate the arrival which allowed invited guests, media, and celebrities the first opportunity to experience and shop the new collection.

Four main tenets provide the structure of Carmen Steffens' 2010 Spring/Summer Collection: Fashion; Glamour; Classic and Day to Day.
For FASHION creativity is the word! Exuberant hue and texture combinations; with various colors living amongst each other simultaneously, from metallic to vibrant and from strong contrasts to seamless blends, everything is made possible! Patterns of crocodile, ostrich, alligator, python and lizard co-exist in harmony; providing a range of varying textures. Includes high and low-heel sandals, pumps, peep-toes, and gladiators.
GLAMOUR finds the collection draped in perfection, luxury, desire and originality. Here metallics are the focus; flaky gold as well as silver. Holographic leathers bring a touch of both technology and glitz while special leather treatments such as ostrich patterns and exotic paper prints provide a rich feeling of elegance and sophistication; especially when matched with chromed metal that is crystal and stone encrusted. Includes pumps, high and low thin-heeled sandals, as well as wallets, clutches and handbags.
CLASSIC sweeps in with contemporary notes of what is eternal. High-heels, sandals, peep-toes and discrete platforms. Large handbags in standard and rectangular shapes support routines full of practical tasks. Neutral colors combine with vibrant red and traditional white combines with black.
A triad of practicality, comfort and class reflect the DAY TO DAY theme; essential for those who desire a more relaxed approach. Here the colors that reflect nature, in the beige and ivory range, are sometimes together, sometimes not. The traditional design styles appear with an air of grace. High-heel sandals, wedges, and broad heels, as well as flats are constructed and presented in varying textures. Large handbags, ideal for more active women, are the ideal.
